The city beach will be opened on the Tyršovo nábrežie in Bratislava
The Magio urban beach is to be opened for residents and visitors of Bratislava the third time on the right bank of the Danube River on Tyršovo nábrežie (embankment) on Sunday. The public can use it daily from 09am to 10pm free of charge. It will be opened one hundred days, i.e. till September 01. As told R.J. Schulz, the vice president for business and operational activities of T-Com, it is the Slovakian version of the Baywatch beach, wishing to offer the California style to visitors. „This is the way to develop a community way of life,“ he added. According to the mayor Andrew Ďurkovsky they want to create by the beach a pleasant environment for rest and relaxation. „Even though the entire beach is in the Baywatch style, I would ask, nobody would jump to the Danube,“ he said with humour. The beach will offer new aesthetic solution; new will be particular functional buildings, which remind rescue houses on the coast of California. The capacity is 300 deck-chairs and 600 seats.
