27 projects to compete for Best of Realty award

This year a total of 27 domestic projects will compete for the “Best of Realty“ award; they were selected by an expert panel. The properties compete in four categories: flats, offices centres, shopping centres and hotels. The results of the contest will be announced on 10th November. For the final round, the expert panel selected about a half of the projects fewer than last year. “The number of nominated projects is lower compared to previous year, this is a logical reflection of the overall economic situation. This of course translates into the property market. It is no secret that a significantly lower number of projects is being completed and started than in the past,“ said Jana Hrabětová, director of the competition. There are in particular fewer office and residential projects. “For example, twenty residential projects were nominated last year, this year it is 14 projects,“ added Hrabětová. “From flat projects, projects to compete will be for example EKO-logické vily (ECO-logical villlas) in Nymburk (by Gama Prague Development), Šumavský Dvůr (Šumava Court) in Železná Ruda (by MP Beta), Villa Park Čechovka in Havlíčkův Brod (by Villa Park Čechovka) and Prague project Zelené Město – 1st stage (Green City – 1st stage) (by Ligthouse Group), Kolovrátek (by Codeco) and Cikánka (by Bouwfonds ČR). From the new administration centres were for example nominated Prague´s Amazon Court (RCP Amazon/Europolis Real Estate Asset Management) or Campus Science Park (by AIG/Lincoln). Nomination in the Shopping centres category has the fourth stage of Olympie Brno conducted by the developer Somerston Olympia CZ, among others. Hotels to compete for the title are buildings such as Luhačovice Wellness & Spa Hotel Augustiánský dům (by Team Service) and NH Olomouc Congress (by Gemo Olomouc).

In addition to the main categories a special jury prize will be awarded to a project which contributed exceptionally to the development of the domestic property market in the past year or otherwise enriched the Czech market and architecture.
