Slovak Antimonopoly Office approved takeover of SkyBau by Skanska SK

Slovak Antimonopoly Office (PMÚ) approved the concentration of the companies Skanska SK, a.s. Bratislava and SkyBau, s.r.o. Žilina. The authority stated that the share of Skanska SK in the construction of apartment buildings, industrial and service buildings will not exceed 5 % after obtaining 100 % stake in SkyBau. The decision to confirm the concentration of companies came into force on 17th January.

SkyBau identified finding a strong partner as the basis for its further development and employment opportunities for its own workers and suppliers. According to its CEO, the impact of economic crisis and lack of construction contracts were behind the decision to sell SkyBau.
