Real estate investments: highest since 2007?

Investments in commercial real estate are to grow worldwide this year to more than USD 440 billion and they will be the highest since 2007. There are to rise by up to 60 % in North and South America, Jones Lang LaSalle data shows this. In the first quarter, investment in commercial real estate rose by 44 % to 94 billion U.S. dollars. Brazil became the fifth busiest investment market in this quarter and BRIC countries – ie. Brazil, Russia, India and China – had 13 % share on the total investment, while in 2007 their share was only 2 %. In Europe, the volume of investments should increase by 30 %. The greatest activity is particularly expected in the UK, Germany and France.
