July construction output in Slovakia was the third fastest growing within the EU countries where the data was available. The highest growth, compared to June, was in Portugal (5 %), Great Britain (4,4 %) and in Slovakia (2 %). Throughout the entire EU, it declined by 2,5 % and 3,1 % within the whole Eurozone. The highest month-on-month fall was marked in Romania (-28,3 %), Spain (-10,3 %) and Slovenia (-3,2 %). The EUROSTAT informed about this. Within the countries where data was available, the contruction industry declined in 6 of them and grew in 7. The year-on-year construction output declined by 2,3 % in the EU and it fell by 7,5 % within the entire Eurozone. The drop in Slovakia was 1,8 %. Construction output in the countries Eurostat had available data fell year-on-year in 9 countries and grew in 4 countries.
