The Ministry of Defence is offering 28 buildings for sale which they failed to sell in the past. These include storage premises, training facilities, a terraced house, a hut, a garage court and land. The ministry spends approximately 17 mil. crowns annually on surveillance and maintenance of the unused properties, Jana Zechmeisterová from the Defence Ministry press department informed the Czech News Agency.

The Ministry is offering storage areas in Liberec for about 13 mil. crowns, in Terezín for roughly 15 million and in Mladeč for 22,5 mill. Interested parties can buy barracks in Týniště nad Orlicí for nearly two million, in Prague-Miškovice for roughly 13 million and in Hranice na Moravě for 22 million crowns. The most expensive item in the tender are the garage courts in Písek, for which the military is seeking 86,2 million.

The Ministry has also already completed a sales plan for the next year. They want to sell off, among others, a part of TGM barracks in Pardubice, the recreational resort Hůrka at the Lipno dam, the army hospital in Klatovy, the amunition warehouse in Sedlnice and the training ground in Beroun. The department wants to achieve a total of CZK 300 mill. from selling the properties next year.
