The first passive administration building in the CR will be created in Ostrava before the first half of next year. Ostrava construction company Intoza is building the energy-saving building costing CZK 32 mill. The four-storey building is under construction in the Hulváky industrial zone, it will be the company´s head office. A training centre on the first and second floors open to expert and lay public, seminars, training sessions and conferences will start taking place there from June next year. The building with roughly 1,300 sqm of floor area, designed by the Ostrava architect Radim Václavík, will be a model passive building, including the technologies used. There will be triple-glazed windows with regulated external shading, hot-water heating, forced ventilation with recuperation and sun collectors. Jan Bárta, director of the non-profit organization Centrum pasivního domu (Passive House Centre), confirmed that Intoza´s project under construction is the first passive administration building in the CR.
