The company Ekospol wants to start construction of 700 new flats in Prague and its surroundings in 2011. The reason is an increase in market demand. The company started construction of 245 flats this year. The developer wants to continue with further stages of their projects in Kyje and Horní Měcholupy, and also, among others, in Uhříněves.
The number of started flats in the CR, according to the Czech Statistical Office (CSO) figures, fell by 36.7 % to 2,436 flats in September. The number of started flats in family houses fell year-on-year by 16.4 %, and by 64.4 % in apartment houses.
