The value of public construction contracts declined by 37 % to CZK 122.2 billion last year. The biggest drop of 75.7 % was recorded in contract for the construction of transport infrastructure. The latest analysis by the engineering and consulting company ÚRS Praha shows this. Last year the state and public administration announced seven construction tenders worth over one billion crowns. The year before last, there were 25 such large tenders. The number of public construction commissions declined yoy by 10.9 % in 2010, authorities announced a total of 3,913 tenders. The share of towns and villages on the total value of the announced commissions last year amounted to 56.5 %.
