The companies CA Immo and Union Investment Real Estate are selling shopping centres Olympia in Teplice and Mladá Boleslav valued at EUR 96 million, ie. CZK 2.4 billion; the buyer is the billionaire Radovan Vítek´s CPI group. However, according to CPI the transaction hasn´t been concluded yet. „It is the largest transaction in the retail sector in the Czech Republic since 2008. The fact that they are shopping centres outside Prague, confirms the confidence in the Czech retail market,“ said James Chapman, head of the capital markets department at Cushman & Wakefield. Both shopping centres are fully leased. The complex in Mladá Boleslav offers 21,884 sqm, the one in Teplice. 32,157 sqm. The main tenant in both centres is Ahold, the operator of Albert supermarket chain.
