Recovery of the domestic real estate market did not occur even in the first half of this year. It is clear from the statistics of the Czech Office for Surveying, Mapping and Cadastre (ČÚZK). ČÚZK records 340,400 proceedings for the period between January to June, which is roughly the same amount as a year ago. The number of transactions with flats decreased by 25%, also the first half of this year, with building plots by 10%, entries to buildings declined. Entries of lien rights related to the mortgage market grew by 6%, to flats under construction by 9%. ČÚZK figures include the transactions recorded in land registry by entry. This refers to changes that come into existence on the basis of contract. Besides the most represented property rights, the office monitors changes in liens, pre-emption rights or easements. ČÚZK has been publishing these statistics since 2008.
