Prague 10 authorities are looking for four companies to whom they will submit construction of contracts totaling up to 1.6 billion in the next four years. The town hall announced a tender yesterday in which they want to select the best offers. The city will list additional tenders for the will be particular contracts, in which only the selected companies will be allowed to enter. Deputy Mayor Bohumil Zoufalík (Civic Democratic Party) told the Czech News Agency. The city hall hopes to curb corruption, purpose division of orders, and it wants to save so too.
Companies, whose total turnover in three years was at CZK 900 million, can enter the frame agreement competition by 26th September. Ten companies will be drawn from the candidates, which will submit their offers. The winners will be four companies offering the best combination of price, quality or delivery time. Once the town hall needs specific construction work, the selected companies will compete for it again. The price then may not exceed the price which has emerged from the first round of the tender. Mayor Milan Richter (Civic Democratic Party) has said earlier that the new measures could reduce the final price by about ten per cent.
The town hall wants to procure contracts to the selected companies for example, to repair houses, schools or medical facilities where they will reconstruct roofs, facades or lifts. According to the tender documentation, Prague 10 authorities will replace windows in 73 houses, roofs in 17 houses and façades in 10 within the next four years.
