Prices of construction work in the Czech Republic stagnated in Q3, the decrease was only slight in case of individual activities. Czech Statistical Office (CSO) data shows this. According to consultancy KPMG, it can be expected that construction work prices will not grow in 2012 either due to crisis in the industry. “There have been no significant changes in prices of construction work in the last year. They are stagnating, or in some activities, they continue to decline, and this situation is primarily due to excess of supply over demand in the construction market,” said Pavel Kliment from KPMG according to whom the current fall of domestic construction industry is not too favourable for price increase. According to CSO, Czech construction industry deepened its yoy decline of 8% in October after a fall of 7.1% in September.
