Price for Dukla barracks seems to be too high for Poprad
Poprad is interested in Dukla barracks, located in the Západ housing development in Poprad, but not at the price offered. The barracks area offers the Department of Defence in a separate tender. We offer several warehouses, garages, transformer station and other buildings together with lands involving the total area of 41 588 m2. The price 4.764 mills Euro, which the Ministry requires for barracks, the town seems too high. In one of the barrack buildings is placed the Office of judicial and criminal police. Further, which in the past served to accommodate soldiers, has won the Office of Labour, Social Affairs and Family in Poprad. These will serve after the reconstruction, which should have already started this year, as its new residence. Lack of finances, however, caused its postpone, informed Jozef Petrán, the director of Labour office in Poprad.
