CZECH TOP 100 again without developers
“Participation is voluntary, we send out forms to everybody. If there is no developer in the chart, it’s because they didn’t react. It is a permanent situation,” this was the commentary on the absence of the developer sector by one of organizers of the latest CZECH TOP 100, a chart of 100 most important companies of the Czech Republic in 2008. First places in the most important category of CZECH TOP 100 – importance by amount of sales – were secured by Škoda Auto (CZK 200 billion), ČEZ and RWE Transgas. In classification according to sectors, the first “five” among construction companies are Skanska CS (CZK 38 billion), Metrostav, SSŽ, Strabag and OHL ŽS. The results of this 15th anniversary don’t reflect the current economic problems yet and according to Hindls, president of University of Economics, Prague, “next year, we’ll probably talk differently”.
