Prices of houses dropped by 9.4 percentages in the Great Britain in January compared with previous year. Some agents informed, that potential buyers prolonged rental agreements by further six months to outlive the current uncertainty,“ Richard Donnell, the director of investigation in the Hometrack Company, told.
Since its top in August 2007 prices of houses decreased by 10.2% in the Great Britain after 16 months of dropping according to the Hometrack Company data. The one light point in the data of Hometrack Company is, that the prices drop is already less spread. Dividing the country to areas according to ZIP code, in January prices dropped in 58% of them, while in December in 63% and in October in 75% of them. Time of purchase prolonged from 12 to 12.3 weeks.
