The state is ready to help people with real estate credits

The Government is ready to help people, who will get to problems with paying their loans due to the economy crisis. Robert Fico informed about it after discussion with representatives of the Slovak Bank Association (SBA). The help will concern the situation, according to his words, so that the people who will lost their work would not lost inhabitation “By this we clearly demonstrate to people in Slovakia, that we will help them, in the case, if they would lost job by chance and have a real estate credit simultaneously, in order they would be able to keep it and would not lost inhabitation, “Fico told. The agreement between the government and the bank association on particular conditions of eventual help will be signed-up in nearest days according to the prime minister.

Certain volume of money is earmarked for payment of real estate credits so that implementation of this measure into practice would not endanger a bank sector. „ Such situations are mainly involved, when the risk will be higher than in another case, that time the state will take some part of responsibility for that, but entire ratio of these credits to the entire amount of money, which is available, is insignificant in my view, it cannot endanger a bank sector in any case,“ Fico told. Presently Slovakia has very good structure of indebtedness according to Igor Vida, the president of SBA.
