RPG will regenerate its housing resources
The pilot project of housing regeneration of the real estate group RPG Real Estate, launched last year, will cover 800 flats in Ostrava-Poruba, Karviná and Havířov. The costs of revitalization of the selected location will reach CZK 150 million. “The sites for the projects were selected on the basis of multiple aspects. One of them was a good relationship with the local municipality. Thanks to our cooperation with them, we can achieve a high increase in the quality of living within a relatively short span of time,” said Petr Handl, Director for External Relations in RPG Real Estate, adding: “The regeneration of other houses after the completion of this pilot project will depend on the willingness of the tenants to participate in the repairs through an adequately higher rent.” The pilot project involves replacement of windows and entrance doors, installation of new backbone distribution systems, repairs of existing external facades, entrances, roof areas; in addition, public areas should be revitalized. This always involves a whole complex of houses that constitute a closed block.
