NDS started-up the building of the motorway stage Jablonov – Studenec
Today the National Motorway Company (NDS) started-up the building of the D1 motorway stage Jablonov – Studenec. The motorway stage of 5 210 m length connects directly to the stage Studenec – Behárovce, the building of which NDS started-up 2 weeks ago. Contrary it the more than five km stage Jablonov – Studenec, which ought to be finished till June 2010, will only be in a half profile. „Of course, the government enforces in order the motorways were built-up as soon as possible,“ Igor Choma, the NDS chief executive officer, told it while tapping the base stone at Spišské Podhradie.
The motorway stage Jablonov – Studenec is the last one being built by NDS between Bratislava and Prešov. Missing parts of the motorway will be built-up using PPP projects. Two weeks ago yet, Choma spoke about the building-up of the motorway without tunnel parts till year 2010. „It seems not be valid, because of postponement due to the crisis influence,“he told. As he added, the D1 motorway between Bratislava and Košice including the tunnel parts ought to be finalized completely till year 2011 to 2012.
