Bratislava Vrakuňa helps revitalizing residential houses

The municipal district Vrakuňa wants to continue assisting residents in revitalization of residential houses, insulating houses and removal of system failures. This year they would restore 9 houses for almost 2.9 mills €, of which non-refundable grants, which may be obtained from the state, EU or from both sources, representing three quarters of one mill Euro. „As the costs of revitalization are considerable, we also try to maximize the use of other resources such as the own funds of houses, eventually bank financing," said Marek Hargaš, the agens of the subsidy Spokojné bývanie s.r.o., which manages residential buildings. It obtained approximately 4.6 mills € for their revitalization in the past 2 years, whereas more than 900 thousand € are non-refundable grants. Last year the company provided more than 1.7 mills € and subsidies from the Ministry of Construction and Regional Development and EU funds created nearly half a million. For the money 6 residential houses were revitalized. Hargaš added that to restore residential buildings in the Vrakuňa is also planned in year 2010, whereas 20 houses are already registered in the process. "Our goal is to get the maximum resources for Vrakuňa. Only a complex revitalization of houses will really contribute to restoring the whole housing estate, so that Vrakuňa was a nice ward, where people live happily, "says Hargaš.
