Bratislava: Petržalka wants to create more flats for young families
In Medveďova Street in Bratislava Petržalka should be built 5 small-sized flats on the place of the club premises of the council residential house. But first they have to be reconstructed; the local authority, therefore, announced the public procurement. "The construction works would run from July till the end of the year. First families could move in early next year, "said the spokesman of Petržalka Ľubomír Andrassy. The status of the young family flat created a space to solute housing issues through kitchenette apartments, which can be rented only for a time; transfer to the personal property is not possible. The self-administration wants by this measure to prevent the continuing reduction of council flats, which can be used to deal with the crisis situations of citizens in a material need.
