Prices for residential properties decreased also in the second quarter

Prices of properties designed for housing decreased in the second quarter. In the second quarter of this year the average cost of a square meter of houses and apartments reached 1 342 million Euro, what means the reduction by 5% compared with the first quarter and the drop by about 13.4% in semi-year comparison according to the data from the National Bank of Slovakia (NBS). While for the whole last year home prices were still significantly growing annually by 22.1%. From a regional point of view the Bratislava region reached again its highest average price per square meter in the second quarter of this year, i.e. 1 731 million Euro followed by the Trnava region with the average price of 941 Euro; the third in the order was the Prešov region with the lower price of 926 Euro.
