Wind parks costing 389 mill. to be built near Námestovo

Company SWWE plans to build two wind parks in the cadastral territory of Babín in the Namestovo district in northern Slovakia: Poľana (8 wind power plants) and Babínska hoľa (5 wind power plants). Their construction, which should start in the 3rd or 4th quarter of 2011 will require approx. EUR 389 mill. The output of each wind power plant is 2 MW. The wind parks should be spread over agricultural land with the surface area of 14 thousand m2. 20 to 25 people will find work during the construction, their operation will bring about 5 new jobs.
