Building of the Year is Eurovea and flyover in Považská Bystrica
The main prize in the national public competition “Building of the Year“ for 2010 was awarded to Eurovea (new Bratislava´s complex on the left bank of the Danube river, investment costs of EUR 450 mill. incl. VAT) and the city flyover in Považská Bystrica – a part of the D1 motorway section between Sverepec and Vrtižer (main planner company Dopravoproject, EUR 175 mill. incl. VAT). This year the expert panel exceptionally awarded two main prizes in the 16th year of the competition. Two projects also won awards for contribution to the entire society during the ceremony at Heineken Tower Stage in Bratislava. The newly built primates pavilion at Bratislava ZOO received the Award Mayor of Bratislava and already mentioned city motorway flyover in Považska Bystrica won the Minister of Economy award.
