Prešov: Deputies criticized slow preparation of the park

Some Prešov municipal deputies criticized, at yesterday ongoing debate of the town council, that preparation for the Central town park creation at Prešov is progressing very slowly and its built-up was pre-electoral promise of the major Pavol Hagyari. They reacted for the informative news of the town council, from which results that the acquisition of lands cannot progress substantially till works on the renewed Land Register are not finished.

The central town park involving the area of 160 000 m2 ought to be finished till year 2013. The town ought to pay for the lands almost 8 mills Euro according to the submitted material. The town only owns one parcel involving the area of 3 200 m2 from the mentioned planned area of the park, other lands has to purchase, whereas totally it concerns 130 parcels, from which up to 20 percentage own unknown owners.

In year 2008 the town invested approximately 1 792 471 Euro to the lands acquisition, where the means for acquisition the lands for the industrial park Záborské are also included. This year it has to pay 564 296 Euro more for lands purchased for the public cemetery. At the end of debate deputies approved the resolution, by which they obliged the town office to work out the geometric plan immediately when the Land Register is closed.
