Petržalka returned the study for Jižní mesto (South City) for rework
The South City Urban Study – Zone A has to be reworked. The councillors expressed a negative opinion on the submitted study and proposed to incorporate serious comments of the city district in the document. The district for example does not agree with the placement of several apartment houses and with the construction of the multifunctional facility in the proposed scope. The buildings should also offer pre-school and social facilities and shops. The district also proposed to comply with the scope of greenery in accordance with the valid zoning plan and the incorporation of the approved cycling paths under the adopted Greenways project. According to the urban study, construction of about 1,500 flats, 18,800 square metres of office areas and 4,200 square metres for services is planned on the area today known as Janíkov dvor, within zone A. Parking is envisaged on the ground as well as underground. The concept also includes a park with ponds, fountains and areas for sports and recreation.
