2008 Facade of the Year: the prize for the revitalization of a prefabricated house goes to MS architektura a design
2008 Facade of the Year contest involved 259 projects in total. The first prize in the Prefabricated House Reconstruction category went to the day care facility in Prague 3, undertaken by MS Architektura a design. The panel of seven members, chaired by Miloslav Pavlík, Vice Principal of the Faculty of Architecture of the Czech Technical University in Prague, described this project as the most successful revitalization of a house built on the basis of the prefabricated technology. It appreciated the project’s technical quality, in particular its thermal insulation system, and its contribution to the urban landscape – especially thanks to the unusual design of the windows set in space frames that create the plastic expression of the facade.
