Košice announced an architectural tender for Kulturpark
The city of Košice in cooperation with the non-profitable organization EHMK 2013 (the European Capital of Culture 2013) and the Slovak Chamber of Architects announced the international tender called the Architectural-urban solution for Barracks – Kulturpark. The subject of the anonymous competition is transformation of the campus of the former military barracks to the cultural centre of the city within the project of the European Capital of Culture 2013. The complex of post-industrial buildings with high historic value ought to create an original platform for education, creation and presentation of art. Barracks Kulturpark joins in itself an incubator of arts and creative industry.
