Government approved a second amendment to the D1 Concession Contract

At its Wednesday meeting, the government approved to conclude a second amendment to the Concession Contract on the construction and operation of sections of the D1 motorway between Martin and Prešov within PPP Package 1. The reason for the amendment is the performance of preparatory work on motorway sections before the effective date of the Concession Contract or before the financial closure of the project if the crisis on the financial markets and the related lack of liquidity persist. The effective date of the Concession Contract and financial closure for PPP Package 1 is therefore moved from 15 October 2009 to 15 February 2010.
