Bratislava: Construction at Čulenova to start in 2012

Construction of the first phase of the development project Čulenova in Bratislava should begin in the first quarter of 2012, it will cost EUR 267 mill. Lea Krčmáriková from investment group Penta Investments, which announced an international architectural competition for the site, said this. As we reported in Tuesday's article, the winner is the British architectural studio Zaha Hadid Architects. The investor plans to complete construction in 2018 and reconstruct a historical monument – Jurkovičova heating plant – as a part of the project. In the future we see its use either as a modern art gallery or for other commercial purposes,“ added Krčmáriková.
