Rožňava industrial park about to be completed
The town of Rožňava is basis information for awarding the occupation permit for the industrial park constructed in the browfield zone in the area of former iron-ore mines. Eva Petruchova, head of Regional Development Department at Rožňava townhall informed that the occupation permit proceedings should take place in May. She added that drainage works as well as extensive terrain modifications had to be carried out before utility lines were installed. Construction of the park started in November 2008. The town authorities received a state subsidy amounting to EUR 5,6 mill. for its execution and further EUR 1,3 mill. for the terrain modifications. Three investors will have their seat here (Celtex, VDS Stalen Meublen and Ekoplastika Nitra) and they will create around 300 new jobs.
