CA IMMO starting construction of BBC 1 Plus
The Austrian company CA Immo has announced the launch of construction of the complex named BBC 1 Plus, which will extend the Bratislava Business Center 1 (BBC 1) administration centre. The emerging project is located at the crossroads of Plynárenská and Jarabinková streets and offers 13 floors, the effectively leasable floor area is about 15,900 sqm with 313 parking spaces in the building. The building creates a seamless link to the existing BBC complex. “Due to the wide range of qualified services we can provide construction of an environmentally and energy friendly complex," says Rudolf Kraft, CEO of Bilfinger Berger, general contractor of the project financially roofed by the Austrian Raiffeisen Landesbank Niederösterreich-Wien. Administration building BBC 1 Plus is designed as a sustainable building with established environmental standards. It also seeks to obtain LEED certification, which is awarded to environmentally friendly buildings.
“We currently see a clear revival of the market, and therefore we are quite optimistic in terms of A-class office space. We believe that the rental market in this area will receive further positive impulses in the coming months. Therefore, we always stick to our long-term strategy of anti-cyclical property development and for the same reason, we continue with the project BBC 1 Plus just at this time,” explains Bruno Ettenauer, CEO of CA Immo Group. “We have concluded the first preleases, which shows that companies are still interested in high quality office space. This is why we believe that we will achieve further rents at the beginning of 2011,” he adds.
