Zuckermandel at the Bratislava Extramural settlement will not be built-up yet
The multifunctional ward Zuckermandel ought to grow-up at the Bratislava Extramural settlement, in the locality of Rybársky cech to the tram tunnel westward from Vydrica. As the Maroš Sýkora, the J&T Real Estate Company speaker, confirmed, the causes of postpone is the economy crisis and wariness of banks. „They are not in situation they could finance the value added projects. For example in case of the River Park project it is the locality and view, in case of Panorama City it is height,“ he told. Till banks will not be willing and able to finance also projects with „luxury extra charge“, the developer does not want to build at the Extramural settlement.
So he does not dare to estimate the beginning of the building-up. However, the project concept is not changed. Henceforward it ought to be the multifunctional project involving social facilities, which will be a part of connection and enlarging the Old City in the direction to the riverbank. „Also a city bath, which Bratislava is missing, is in consideration. Otherwise wellness and spa will be a part of Kempinski hotel in River Park, however, the bath will be open for public,“ Sýkora added.
