The decline in prices of older apartments in the city is slowing down

Prices of some older apartments in Bratislava declined since the beginning of this year, however in April the decrease slows down, told Martin Lazík, the general secretary to the National Association of Real Estate Offices of Slovakia. Sellers of properties namely accepted in many cases the prices at which buyers are willing to buy the property. The situation on the real estate market recently developed so that prices of some apartments declined by about 10 to 15 percentages. The smallest price decline applies to apartments in the historical city centre, i.e. in the Old City; less attractive locations are for example the urban area Vrakuňa, the end of Rača and some parts of Petržalka. As further stated Lazík, the price trend in new houses has a different course. In this case, prices are developing relatively stable, no significant decline in prices or fluctuations were recorded. During this year, prices of apartments in Bratislava should not dramatically increase or decrease according to him.
