Bratislava: Rehabilitation of the street Záhradnicka will continue
The Capital of Bratislava continues in rehabilitation of the street Záhradnicka from Monday. Currently, the outward-bound Miletičova – Líščie nivy section of the two-lane street is under repair. 2. The 2nd phase is continuation of the project for widening of the street Záhradnicka to a four-lane road. Repairs of the old part of the street will last till September and the first passengers could use it on 2 September. Costs of the 2nd phase are estimated to nearly € 1.328 mil. Rehabilitation and widening of the street Záhradnicka started on 19 May 2008. Drivers started to use the new two-lane road on 18 November. Development costs of the 1st phase exceeded € 4.813 mil. (about 145 million crowns). Besides the new road, new barrier-free sidewalks, traffic signal controls on the crossroads of streets Záhradnícka – Miletičova, Záhradnícka – Jégeho and Záhradnícka – Mraziarenská as well as new public lighting and city mass transport stops were built.
