Košice deputies changed the planning scheme because of the hotel at Barca
Nothing will impede the building-up of the luxury five-star hotel yet, which Interhotel Košice, a.s. intents to build-up at Barca, at the price of above 13 millions Euro. The municipal deputies abolished the biggest obstacle, when they approved the change of the town-planning scheme at Barca in the locality of the local park. The town worked it out based the incentive of the Regional Building Office, which notified that the town-planning scheme has not been in the accordance with the zone-planning scheme yet and this way it settled the border of the sights protective area of the manor-house. The being prepared investigation will improve the park and the manor-house as well, which are decaying and the municipal district and the town as well have no money for their maintenance, by the František Krištof, the major of the municipal district Barca. Preservers protest that the cut out of trees is the counterpart of the project. According to professionals the trees are no in the protected part of the park, mainly sick trees and natural seeding woods are relating, of which nobody was taking care for years. After the change of the Barca zone and the town planning schemes, nothing impedes the cut out of the trees yet.
