Košice deputies will decide on the construction of the biomass heating power station
Yesterday the mayor of Košice Frantisek Knapík organized an extra meeting of the city council. The deputies discussed, among other things, the proposal to amend the city-planning scheme in relation to the intention to enlarge the Industrial Park Pereš (PPP). It was prepared based on the initiative of the Cassovia Bio Energy Company, which is preparing the construction of the cogeneration unit to produce heat and electricity by burning biomass and connecting heat-carrying pipeline in contact with the locality of PPP on the lands in the western part of Barce. The public hearing of the proposal to change the city-planning scheme at Barce was in mid-March, when the local council did not approve the placement of the cogeneration unit according to the draft changes to the city-planning scheme. The region office building at Košice will also submit the statement. The department of urban architect and the Košice magistrate submit a resolution to urban deputies approving the proposed changes to the city-planning scheme.
