Bratislava: Twin City construction date is still unknown

Date for the construction of the Twin City multifunctional complex at Mlynské Nivy in Bratislava at the price of about 600 million Euro is still unknown. For SITA agency it confirmed Karabelli Roman, the company HB Reavis Group spokesman. The barrier of the construction is so far particularly the city planning scheme. The construction will namely require its changes and amendments. According to the deputy mayor Tomáš Korček the municipal deputies should deal with the changes and amendments to the city planning scheme in the first quarter of 2010. The Twin City area should be situated on both sides of Mlynské Nivy Street and will cover it and integrate into its site. It will take spaces of the current bus station as well as the area of the former largest production hall of the Kablo factory, in which were once incinerated fuels and technical plastics. Located here would be a new shopping centre, administrative premises, a hotel, about 1,200 apartments, commercial bridges or moles, facilities for leisure activities such as fitness centres, a marketplace, a small alternative theatre or coffee shops; the construction of parking spaces for several thousand cars is calculated with in the basement.
