Trenčín: the planning scheme is swamp by comments

Two weeks more residents of Trenčín may comment on the concept of the new town planning scheme, which should replace the 10 year-old original plans at the end of this year. The new strategic document met with criticism of civil society activists who think that it is rather sewed for investors needs. The municipal office has received about 140 comments from citizens and from 25 organizations. The new concept is to enable the construction of Aupark in the centre. According to protectionists it will exceed the height regulative by about 4 m. The investor HB Reavis spokesman Roman Karabelli argues that the building will be 16.5 m high, thus does not exceed the 17-meter limit of the planning scheme.
