Bratislava: the building-up of the new terminal goes on according to the plan

Works on the building-up of the new passenger terminal of Bratislava airport continues according to the plan, the minister of transport, Ľubomír Vážny, told. The build-up ought to be finished in May 2010 and the consequent reconstruction of the existing terminal in February 2012. Currently ongoing ground works ought to finish in June, when works on the skeleton of the object could begin. „Upon present situation May 2010 will be decisive, because the charter season will start. Currently we record certain drop of demand for air move. If it would be substantially more important we maybe would damp these works. Till now we keep on the term May 2010, “Vážny told. Capacities of the Bratislava airport would be almost doubled after the build-up from present 2.6 mills to 5 mills of travellers a year. ZIPP Bratislava, s.r.o. won the tender with the estimated price of building works 92.94 mills €, VAT excluded, with the offer 85.91 mills €, VAT excluded.
