Bratislava: again about PKO at the City Council

Today the City Council members are discussing the current state, as well as future of the Park of Culture and Leisure (PKO) on the riverbank in Bratislava. Mayor Ďurkovský should inform about negotiations with Henbury Development Company, which owns the land under the PKO. After the March meetings with civil society activists he had proposed repurchase of land at a reasonable price. The city should also reflect on the events of April14, when the investor started demolishing the PKO building. The work was finally halted because the demolition permit was extended until the end of 2011. It would have to disclose all contracts, documents and agreements in connection with the PKO. A part of deputies and civil society activists invited him for this step. They are convinced that some published information about the demolition permit and other matters are confusing and unclear.
